You know, before they joined the union and before the GELF (genetically engineered life form) rebellion which played a big part in their history as a species, a common trade in their culture was a sort of slave exchange, similar to the one in this chapter, except that these beings were created and cloned from scratch using top of the line DNA writing technology. After the GELF rebellion however, the trade was not only outlawed among their species. Not because it was unethical and wrong, but because it was determined that if the trade were to start up again, there was no guarantee that it might not lead to another rebellion. The GELF rebellion by the way,  caused a global cataclysm that forced the remaining a is hand to lock themselves away underground in stasis chambers for hundreds of thousands of years until the sensors of what was left of their sattelite network could deem the planet as being realistically habitable again.

That said, if the aishans were able find spearmint and meet psycho lizzie,  and from there learn of spearmint society's brainwashing technology,  it's very likely that the trade would start up again.
